Welcome to our web site. We are located in northwestern Wyoming, in a valley surrounded by five mountain ranges, called the Big Horn Basin. We are 30 miles east of Cody, Wyoming and 85 miles south of Billings, Montana. If you are in our area, you are welcome to stop in and see us.

We are raising and training registered Tennessee Walking horses. They are sturdy mountain horses, with very good dispositions and quiet minds. They are naturally gaited and have a good way of going. We put many miles on them during the nice months in the mountains, riding in Wyoming's Thorofare, (the most remote area of the lower 48 just south of Yellowstone Park) and other mountain drainages. Our horse's are trail wise and accustom to working in all elements of the outdoors. They are used during hunting season and most have packed wild game and have been used in pack strings. They encounter all kinds of wild life, including bear, moose and wolves. The basin we live in is flat land, so the horses are accustom to traveling in a running walk on flat ground. To the south of us is the McCullough Peaks, which are much like the Badlands, we use this area for training in the winter and spring, when we can't get into the mountains.

Our horses are handled with care! We begin handling them the day they are born, imprinting and building trust. The training progresses as they grow, handling all parts of the horse, and most of all being patient and kind. The colts respond to this, and learn to trust people. As yearlings ground work is started, and as two year olds they are started under saddle. The process continues as they get ready for the mountain rides, and everyday riding enjoyment.
